Accessibility at No 2 The Bar
No 2 The Bar is situated down a narrow cobbled sloping alleyway which is accessible by vehicle with extreme care. Parking is available in a designated driveway area to the right of the cottage which has black metal gates. The driveway is on a steep slope so care is required to ensure your vehicle is securely stationed.
Luggage can be unloaded to the front door which is within a meter of where you can temporarily leave your car. Alternatively, you can also unload at the side door which is 1 meter to the left of the sloping driveway.
The front door has one small step down into the hallway with the staircase immediately ahead of you. To the left is the lounge which has two sofa’s, a coffee table, 3 stand lamps, log burning stove, flat screen TV, DVD player and TV stand. The lounge is carpeted. To the right of the lounge is an under stair cupboard with a good library of books, and a selection of DVD’s, games, puzzles, cards and binoculars.
The hallway has a stone tiled floor with an umbrella stand, coat hooks and shoe rack.
The kitchen is located to the right of the hallway where there is an extendable table which sits up to 6 people. The flooring is wooden and the units cream with a wooden work surface. There is a dishwasher, integrated fridge, microwave, electric oven with a gas hob, washer/dryer, CD player and docking station.
Leading from the kitchen is a back passage to the utility cavern area which is accessed by two steps. There is a freezer, laundry basket, clothes drying, ironing board, iron, cleaning equipment and hoover. There are coat hooks and an area for storage. This area is carpeted. Leading off to the right is the downstairs toilet with sliding door, lino flooring and small hand basin.
The side door to the driveway and outside cavern is also located at the end of the back passage. There is security lighting above the outside of the side door, lighting within the outside cavern. The cavern holds a table and four chairs, a chiminea and log storage area. Potted plants are on the edges of the driveway area.
There are two bedrooms upstairs leading off a carpeted landing. The front room is a king size bed, with bedside tables, dressing table, chest of drawers, flat screen TV, occasional chair and wardrobe. There is one step up into the back bedroom which comprises of a super king bed which can also be twin bedded room, with bedside tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe, flat screen TV and occasional chair. The bathroom, which is accessed from the landing, comprises of a double ended bath, walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin. The floor is tiled.
